Apple's 2026 iPhone Lineup: iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo

    6 min read

Apple held its event on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Three phones came out of it: the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone Duo, which is Apple's first foldable. This page has all three, Apple's own videos for each, and the parts that matter if you buy phones by the box rather than one at a time.

We are not publishing retail prices here. Message us and we will quote what is actually in hand.

    Apple's event recap

    The short version

    • Three phones. There is no regular iPhone 18 this year

    • Both Pro models go on sale Friday, September 18. The Duo follows on Friday, October 23

    • The iPhone Duo is eSIM only in every country. There is no SIM tray version anywhere

    • The Duo has no Face ID. Touch ID moved into the side button

    • All three offer a 2TB storage tier, which is new this generation

    • Mexico, Colombia and Brazil are in the day one launch wave

There is no regular iPhone 18

Get ahead of this one, because it will confuse customers all season. Apple did not release a standard iPhone 18 in September. The only new iPhones until spring are two Pro models and a foldable. Reporting points to the standard 18, the 18e and a second Air arriving in spring 2027.

So when a buyer asks for "the iPhone 18" at a mid range price, there is no such phone. Your answer is either a Pro model or last year's stock.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

Two sizes, 6.3 inch and 6.9 inch. Same internals across both, with the Pro Max getting the bigger battery. Here is what Apple confirmed:

    • A20 Pro chip. Sustained performance up to 40% faster than the A19 Pro

    • 6 core CPU, 7 core GPU, 32 core Neural Engine

    • 48MP main camera with a variable aperture, on both models

    • Battery: up to 36 hours of video playback on the Pro, up to 45 hours on the Pro Max. Apple also quotes up to 30 hours of general usage on the Pro Max

    • 50% charge in 15 minutes

    • Vapor chamber cooling three times larger than the iPhone 17 Pro

    • Smaller Dynamic Island, now showing up to three Live Activities at once

    • Colors: black, silver, glacier and burgundy

    • 2TB storage available for the first time

What actually sells this phone to a customer is the battery and the camera. 45 hours of video playback on the Pro Max is the strongest battery number Apple has ever put on an iPhone, and that lands hard in markets where power is unreliable. The variable aperture is the sort of thing a buyer can see in a photo rather than read on a spec sheet.

    iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable

It opens to a 7.6 inch inner screen and closes to a 5.4 inch outer screen. Both are Super Retina XDR at 3000 nits with ProMotion and Always On. The inner display has a nano texture finish.

    • A20 Pro chip, the same one in the Pro models

    • 48MP main with a 2x telephoto, plus a 48MP ultra wide

    • Two batteries, one per side. Up to 31 hours of video on the inner screen, 44 on the outer

    • Grade 5 titanium body, Ceramic Shield 2 front, Ceramic Shield back, IP68

    • A hinge built from more than 100 components

    • 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. Two colors, star white and night sky

    • Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Thread, and a FaceTime camera under the inner display

    • Ships with iOS 27.1. Apple Pencil support comes later in the year

Read this before you order any Duo: it is eSIM only

This is the part of the launch that will cost somebody money.

The iPhone Duo has no SIM tray in any country. Not the United States, not Latin America, not the Caribbean. Apple made it eSIM only worldwide.

On earlier iPhones the eSIM restriction applied only to US models, so the workaround was simple: source stock from another region and the tray came back. That workaround does not exist here. Every Duo in the world is eSIM only.

Before you commit to any quantity, check two things with the carriers your customers actually use. First, do they support eSIM at all. Second, do they support it on prepaid, not just postpaid. eSIM coverage across Latin America and the Caribbean is uneven and it varies carrier by carrier inside the same country. A phone your customer cannot activate comes straight back to you.

The Duo has no Face ID

Apple moved authentication to Touch ID in the side button. A folding screen does not leave room for the Face ID sensor array. Every customer who has owned an iPhone in the last eight years is going to ask about this. It is the design, not a fault, and it is worth saying so before the sale rather than after.

    Dates and launch countries

iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max: pre orders open Saturday, September 12. They go on sale Friday, September 18. The first wave includes the United States, Canada, the UK, Japan, China, India and, relevant to our customers, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. A further 20 countries follow from September 25.

iPhone Duo: pre orders open Friday, October 16. It goes on sale Friday, October 23 in more than 70 countries, with another 28 following on Friday, October 30.

Those second waves are where a Miami supplier earns its place. There is a window of one to two weeks where the phone exists here and has not reached your customer's local shelf yet.

Which of the three should you actually stock?

Straight answers, based on what our customers in Santo Domingo, Port of Spain, Guatemala City and Caracas actually move.

iPhone 18 Pro Max. The one to carry if you carry one. 45 hours of video playback is the easiest thing to sell in a market where power is unreliable, and Max models hold resale value better across the Caribbean.

iPhone 18 Pro. Same chip and same camera in a smaller body. Sells to the customer who does not want the size or the Max premium.

iPhone Duo. Not a volume line, and we will not pretend otherwise. It sits well above every Pro model, it is a first generation foldable with a brand new hinge and no field history, and the eSIM restriction narrows the buyer pool further. Where it makes sense is small quantities for a dealer who already has a customer asking, or one unit in the window to pull people in.

    The play most resellers miss

The margin is not in the phone that just launched. It is in the one that just got replaced.

It happens every year without fail. New Pro models arrive and iPhone 16, 15 and 14 inventory loosens across the board. Carrier stock moves. Refurbished moves. Trade ins pile up at every US carrier and flow into the wholesale market within weeks. If your customers watch price rather than headlines, that is where your money goes.

    • Let the launch week noise pass

    • Watch iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 through late September and October

    • Buy the drop, not the launch

    • Keep budget Android in the mix for volume

We wrote this same pattern up before the iPhone 17 launch and again this year. It has not failed yet. There is more detail in our iPhone 18 Pro wholesale guide and in the Spanish version of this page.

    What about launch allocation?

At launch, new Pro units are tight everywhere and priced accordingly. We do not promise launch day allocation and you should be careful with anyone who does. When we have units, we quote them. We are not going to put a number on a phone we do not have in hand.

Send the model, capacity, condition and quantity, and we will come back with what is actually sitting here.

Country rules matter more than Apple's calendar

Duties, carrier bands and local registration decide your landed cost far more than a launch date does. These break it down by market:

    How we work

Minimum order is 30 pieces and you can mix brands and models to get there. Payment is by bank wire transfer. Delivery to your freight forwarder in Miami is free, and you handle the shipping out of Miami. We have been supplying wholesale buyers across Latin America and the Caribbean from Miami since 2015.

Send your list and we will quote what is in hand.
