iPhone 18 Pro Wholesale: What Resellers Should Know

Apple's event is Tuesday, September 9. Before it happens there are three things worth knowing if you buy phones by the box, and only one of them is about the new phone.
There is no regular iPhone 18 this year
This one is going to confuse your customers, so get ahead of it now.
The September event is expected to bring the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and a foldable that everyone is calling the iPhone Ultra. The regular iPhone 18 is not in it. Reporting points to the standard 18, the 18e and a second Air landing in spring 2027.
So when a customer walks in this fall asking for "the iPhone 18" at a mid range price, there isn't one. Until spring, the only new iPhones are Pro models and a foldable.
Everything except the event date is press reporting, not Apple. We will update this page once the keynote is done.
Prices are going up, not down
Two things are pushing the same way. Apple raised prices in June, and memory costs still have not settled. Reporting says the new Pro models could land well above the iPhone 17 Pro.
The foldable is being talked about north of $2,000. Be honest with yourself about that one. At that money it is a showcase phone for a handful of buyers. It is not floor stock for a shop in Santo Domingo or Port of Spain, and we are not planning to push it as a wholesale line.
The money is in the phones that already exist
Here is what actually pays in the two weeks after an Apple launch. Current generation prices come off.
It happens every year. New Pro models arrive, and iPhone 16, 15 and 14 inventory loosens up. Carrier stock moves. Refurbished moves. Trade ins pile up. If you sell into Trinidad, Guatemala or Caracas, that is where your margin is. Not in fighting over launch allocation on a $1,400 phone.
If your market watches price, the plan is simple:
Sit on your cash through the keynote
Watch iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 the week after
Buy the drop, not the launch

What about launch week Pro stock?
Straight answer. At launch, new Pro units are tight everywhere and priced like it. We do not promise launch day allocation, and you should be careful with anyone who does. When we have units, we quote them. We are not going to put a price on a phone nobody has held yet.

Planning your mix for the rest of 2026
Two Pro phones and a foldable do not make a season. Most of what sells into the Caribbean and Latin America between now and spring looks the same as it did last month.
